Today was my best friends birthday and we decided to go spend it as a big group of friends at this chinese restaurant. The ride is about 10 minutes including picking up people on the way to bring to the restaurant, which was just enough time to use my friends as guinea pigs to test the sound of Awesome New Republic on. My friends can be brutal critics, believe me, and if they hate something they will straight out say it. There were a great variety of music listeners in the car from r&b to electronica to indie. Let me tell you, every one of them loved the sound of Awesome New Republic. The two man band are hailing straight out of Miama, Florida and holding down Miami with some awesome sounds. There is a soulful voice singing and relaxing instrumentals. Then at times there are bouncy instrumentals and fast vocals. Awesome New Republic has that successful range where they can go from a more upbeat song to a slower sweet lyriced song without losing that certain momentum. That certain momentum is what keeps you continueing to listen to a band or musician.
